Halloween is one of our favorite times of year — costumes, creativity, and of course… candy! But after the trick-or-treating ends, many families find themselves surrounded by leftover sweets that can linger long after the pumpkins are gone.
This year, Ellicott Mills Dental is making it easy to share the sweetness while doing something good for your health — and your community — with our Candy Amnesty Program.
What Is the Candy Amnesty Program?
From November 1st through the 14th, we invite patients and community members to drop off their extra or unwanted Halloween candy at our office.
All collected candy will be donated to a local children’s shelter, helping to spread joy to kids in need while giving families an opportunity to teach generosity — and avoid a post-Halloween sugar overload!
It’s a simple, meaningful way to turn treats into smiles and make a difference close to home.

How to Participate
- Gather your extra or unwanted candy.
(Wrapped, unopened candy only, please.) - Drop it off at Ellicott Mills Dental during our regular office hours before November 14th.
- We’ll take care of the rest! All candy will be delivered to a local children’s shelter to bring smiles to those who need it most.
Give Back. Stay Healthy. Keep Smiling.
At Ellicott Mills Dental, we believe that healthy smiles go beyond the exam room. Every small act of kindness helps strengthen our community — and that’s something to smile about!
So after Halloween, when the fun is over but the candy bowl is still overflowing, stop by our office and share your sweets for a good cause.
Together, we can make Howard County even sweeter — one smile at a time.
Pro Tip From Our Dentists
After you are done eating candy, make sure to brush and floss thoroughly — especially after especially sugary or sticky treats. And don’t forget to schedule your regular cleaning to keep your smile in top shape!
