About Ellicott Mills Dental
Our mission is to provide family-oriented dental care to patients in our Ellicott City Community.
Our vision is to empower all of our patients to prioritize their dental health and maintain their confident, happy smiles for life.
Our team is passionate about and active in our Ellicott City community. Whether it’s at a local tennis tournament, volunteering at the Maryland SPCA, attending Orioles or Ravens games, or grabbing a bite at Honey Pig Korean BBQ, you’re likely to run into us somewhere around town!
Our patients are our friends, neighbors, and family, so it’s only fitting that we treat you as such. We provide dental services to all ages, from your high-energy five-year-old to your parents and grandparents; and we strive to keep you feeling comfortable throughout any procedure.
This dedication to a family-oriented care extends to how we think of insurance too. We donate services to needy families, and we also do not participate in any HMOs. This is a reflection of our decision to step off, and stay off of what’s known as the “assembly line” type of dental practice.
We are proud to accept most traditional insurance plans, in addition to a select number of PPOs.
Ellicott Mills Dental is led by the following, gentle doctors:
Meet Our Dentists
Dr. Kimberly Ford
Dr. Kimberly Ford volunteers her services to multiple humanitarian organizations including Safari Dentist in Kenya, Hands Across the Americas in Peru, and Humanity First in Guatemala. In Kenya, Dr. Ford stayed in the middle of the Masai Mara and remains in awe of seeing lions, giraffes, cheetahs, and rhinos up close and in the wild. After graduating at the top of her class at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, Dr. Ford moved to Maryland in 1998. Although she enjoys traveling for dental volunteer work and for pleasure (Ireland and Costa Rica still compete for her favorite all-time spots), Dr. Ford’s love of Maryland always brings her back with a smile. After taking over the dental practice from Dr. Becker, she renamed it Ellicott Mills Dental.
Dr. Ford is an active tennis player and plays on teams in Howard, Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties. Although she has been to the US Open, Wimbledon, and the Laver Cup, attending the French and Australian Opens remain personal goals. Dr. Ford is a serious animal lover and has cared for cats, dogs, birds, fish and even horses throughout her life. She currently has two cats of her own and cares for cats and kittens through the Maryland SPCA foster program.
Dr. Ford brings her caring nature and happy self to work every day. She is certified to treat Invisalign and Sedation Dentistry patients and can be reached at [email protected]
Steven H. Becker, DDS, enjoys yoga, racquetball, and snow skiing. Any one that knows him will tell you he is an avid Orioles and Ravens fan. Dr. Becker is also proud to adopt a family during the holidays. After graduating from the University of Maryland College of Dental Surgery, Dr. Becker opened his own dental practice in the early 1980s. He has since become a member of the American Dental Association, a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the Maryland Dental Implant Study Club. He is also a graduate of the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education.

Kat is from a little bit of everywhere. She’s an animal-lover, and has two dogs, two cats, and two bunnies at home. She loves getting to know all of the patients and telling jokes and stories during their interactions throughout the year.
Audrey is from Baltimore, Maryland, and enjoys both working with her teammates and spending time with them outside of the office. She plays competitive volley ball, and loves spending time with her nephews outside of work.
Amber joined our team after a good friend recommended her for the job. She loves how the community between the staff and patients feels like one big family. In her free time, she enjoys singing and hiking.
Tracy is from New York, and says that she originally “fell into dentistry.” She loves that her work is about more than just healthy smiles – it’s also about building relationships with patients and being a part of their lives. Outside of the office you can find her cooking, sewing, and making memories with her family.
